Welcome to Discovery Church! Our hope is that you find community, purpose, and fresh life. In 2013, God gave us the vision to start a church in southwest Bakersfield, and what started with 3 people in a living room has grown into over 3,000 people gathering weekly! We strongly believe that God’s mission for the local church is to be a lighthouse for the Good News and to help people discover their God-given destiny.

Pastor Jason’s messages are relevant, practical, and aimed for life change. He has a passion for planting new churches and raising up leaders. Jason is a Licensed Pastor with the Assemblies of God and has earned his B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University, and M.A. in Pastoral Theology, and a Doctorate of Divinity from Summit Bible College.
