The Counseling Center at Discovery exists to help people find freedom and healing through Christ Centered and Biblically based therapy.
Appointments are available 7 days per week, and same day appointments are often available.

The Counseling Center at Discovery
Our anxiety and depression group is a 12-week counseling group for women to find social support, spiritual truth, and healing from their struggles with anxiety and depression. The group will use a curriculum based on cognitive behavioral therapy to assist members in developing basic skills to cope with symptoms that accompany anxiety and depression.
The cost to participate in the group is $120, which includes the costs of materials. The cost is divided into two payments: $60 at the start of the group and $60 for the second half of the group, which equates to $10 per session.

Kevin is a licensed psychotherapist with a Doctorate of Theology in Christian Counseling. He is married to his amazing wife Marisol and they both have 6 children. As our Center Director, he oversees and leads the center’s objectives and Oversees Discovery Church’s Freedom system.

Veronica has a passion for seeing people walk in freedom and see the church provide an answer to our mental and emotional needs. Her empathy and overwhelming love for others provide a spiritual covering of leadership over the Counseling Center at Discovery.

Delyla is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She believes God called her to be the person she needed when she was younger, which drives her love for working with youth and families. Delyla strives to help others find their purpose, identity, and calling in Christ.

Ana has 10 years of experience in multiple areas of the mental health field. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping people connect their spiritual health with their mental and emotional health. (Spanish & English Speaking)

Monique has a passion for helping families and individuals experience freedom. She especially has a heart to help those with depression and anxiety. Her love for God and His Word, combined with her experience, allows her to help others find healing.
Sylvia Mosqueda
Sylvia Mosqueda is a AMFT, who has compassion for helping individuals, couples, and women who have experienced domestic violence. Sylvia’s drive comes from her God given gifts to help those people experiencing trauma and those going through difficult seasons. She is excited to use biblical truths with her counseling background. No. While we are a Christ-centered practice, our services are available to everyone.
Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based counseling techniques to address the different challenges that people face.
Each session is scheduled for 50 minutes. The length of treatment depends on many factors, including the nature of the issues presented and the motivation of the client.
Our therapists are either licensed, or pre-licensed, and currently working toward licensure. All pre-licensed therapists at The Counseling Center at Discovery are supervised by licensed therapists.
We will always try to honor any requests made for a specific counselor. If that counselor is not available or is not trained in your area of need, we will assign a counselor based on their specializations and availability.
Yes, we currently offer counseling services to all ages.
Yes, we offer group therapy. You can ask your therapist during consultation for more information on when groups are offered and the types of groups we offer.
Yes. As long as you have reliable internet access, we can offer counseling virtually.
All counseling center team members must comply with federal HIPAA laws and all state-specific confidentiality requirements.

All scheduling is handled centrally through our client intake portal.
Due to the nature of their schedule, your therapist may not be available for emergent needs. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 to get appropriate medical care.

Payments are made prior to, or at the onset of the session. Payments can be made via debit, credit, or HSA/FSA cards.
We do not currently accept insurance.
Any cancellation within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment is non-refundable.
