CHURCH RESCUE WEEKEND:
FRIGHTENING FACTS

Hung Up on the Wrong Facts

(Colossians 2:16-19 NLT) So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.

(Titus 3:9 NLT) Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These things are useless and a waste of time.

(Romans 14:1-4 NLT) 1Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

(Revelation 21:5) Behold, I am making all things new.

(Ephesians 5:15-16 NKJV) See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

(Acts 17:22-23 NLT) So Paul, standing before the council, addressed them as follows: “Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious in every way, for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about.

Five Frightening Facts
Why the Local Church Still Matters

Everyone is not _____________________.

(Matthew 7:13 NLT) You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.

More people will go to __________________.

(John 14:6 NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Many who think they ___________________.

(Matthew 7:21 NIV) Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

We don’t get __________________________.

(Luke 13:25 NIV) Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

This could be ____________________.

(Matthew 10:32 NLT) Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
