Frequently Asked Questions

How big should my small group be?

The average small group size is 10-15 people, but every group is different. We recommend a ratio of 10:1 (members to leader), keeping in mind the number of people you can accommodate and effectively care for.

When and where should my small group meet?

You’ll have the opportunity to choose where your small group meets, keeping in mind what you want to accomplish. Whether you meet at a restaurant, a basketball court, on Zoom, or in your living room, you can create an environment of community, love, and care

How long should my small group meet for?

There’s no secret formula! You’re given the opportunity to plan each meeting out. Some groups will include social time, while others dive right into discussion, but the group should last about an hour to an hour and a half on average.

What if someone in my group wants to lead a small group?

We’re always on the lookout for new leaders and you’re our best recruiter! If someone in your group wants to lead, let your small group coach or small group director know!

I’ve made decisions I’m not proud of in my past. Does that disqualify me?

We believe God can use even the darkest parts of our past to help someone else in their pursuit of Christ. Your small group Director is the perfect person to share with as you navigate the leader process.
