OPEN DOORS

What do you do when obedience leads you somewhere you never expected? Paul and Silas followed the Spirit, preached the gospel, and did what God asked of them—and still ended up beaten, bleeding, and locked in the innermost cell of a Roman prison.

This Sunday, we continued our By My Spirit series through Acts 16 and discovered that being led by the Holy Spirit doesn’t exempt us from opposition. But opposition doesn’t get the final word. At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and praised, and suddenly the foundations shook, the prison doors opened, and everyone’s chains came loose.

We were reminded that our circumstances don’t have to determine our atmosphere, and that praise isn’t just a response to breakthrough—it’s an act of faith before breakthrough. The prison meant to silence them became a platform God used to reach the people around them. This week, we learned how to position ourselves for breakthrough: pray instead of panic, praise before the prison changes, proclaim what God has said over what we see, and take off the chains and walk through the door.

If you weren't there or want to revisit it, you won't want to miss this one.
