Kevin is a licensed psychotherapist with a Doctorate of Theology in Christian Counseling. He is married to his amazing wife Marisol and they both have 6 children. As our Center Director, he oversees and leads the center’s objectives and Oversees Discovery Church’s Freedom system.

The goal of the Counseling Center at Discovery is to help people find freedom and healing by integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with Christ centered, biblically based applications.

Yes, all of our therapists acknowledge personal faith in Jesus Christ.

No. While we are a Christ-centered practice, our services are available to everyone.

Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based counseling techniques to address the different challenges that people face.

Each session is scheduled for 50 minutes. The length of treatment depends on many factors, including the nature of the issues presented and the motivation of the client.

Our therapists are either licensed, or pre-licensed, and currently working toward licensure. All pre-licensed therapists at The Counseling Center at Discovery are supervised by licensed therapists.

We will always try to honor any requests made for a specific counselor. If that counselor is not available or is not trained in your area of need, we will assign a counselor based on their specializations and availability.

Yes, we currently offer counseling services to all ages.

Yes, we offer group therapy. You can ask your therapist during consultation for more information on when groups are offered and the types of groups we offer.

Yes. As long as you have reliable internet access, we can offer counseling virtually.

All counseling center team members must comply with federal HIPAA laws and all state-specific confidentiality requirements.

Due to the nature of their schedule, your therapist may not be available for emergent needs. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 to get appropriate medical care.

The cost for a 50-minute session is $100. We are also an approved provider for several major insurance companies, which may cover part or all of your session fees. Please contact us for more details about your insurance coverage.

Yes. You can donate any amount to the scholarship fund to help make counseling affordable for everyone. All donations to the counseling center are tax deductible. Give now ›

Payments are made prior to, or at the onset of the session. Payments can be made via debit, credit, or HSA/FSA cards.

We are an approved provider for several major insurance companies, which may cover part or all of your session fees. Please contact us for more details about your insurance coverage.

Any cancellation within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment is non-refundable.
