A walk through Acts 10, 11 & 12
Peter meets Cornelius, and a vision on a rooftop unravels a lifetime of assumptions about who's in and who's out. The gospel was never meant for one kind of person — and God makes sure Peter knows it.
"The lines we draw to keep people out were never God's. His table has more seats than our prejudice allows."
Back in Jerusalem, Peter has to explain the unexplainable: God moved outside the box. In Antioch an unlikely church is born, and believers are first called Christians. When God breaks our categories, it isn't recklessness — it's mercy.
"God will not be contained by the box of your expectations. Grace keeps breaking out."
Herod strikes the church. James is killed. Peter is chained in prison. And then — an angel, a sleeping guard, a door that opens on its own. When the powerful seem to be winning, Acts 12 insists the throne is not theirs.
"When everything feels chained, remember: the story isn't being written by the ones holding the keys."
